F. King does it again - metal detectors coming to Tiger Stadium

Who is ready to stand in line for an hour to get in the stadium because every baw has a pocket knife and keys? There isn’t more important shite to focus on? I can’t recall there ever, in my 30 years of going to TS, being an incident that metal detectors would solve. I wonder if F. Kings cousin has a metal detector business?
Meanwhile, they didn’t take a vote on the issue of selling alcohol in SEC stadiums. An issue we all care about.

Schools across the SEC will be required to have metal detectors in place at their venues by the fall of 2020, SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said.
The recommendation to add metal detectors came from a working group of eight members led by LSU President F. King Alexander.

What those idiots never realize is that metal detectors slow down the line at major stadiums like this, causing more congestion at the gates, which creates just another soft target for some nutjob with a gun. It’s like a bunch of sheep in a corral. I’d even say it’s more dangerous in that situation than inside the stadium because the risk of getting trampled is so much higher.
Getting into the SEC & National Championship games were a complete clusterfrick the last few years because of security.

You alcoholics get enough outside the stadium. You might need to seek help.

When UK gets a football team y’all will understand.

It's one hell of a generalization to call everyone who would like to buy a drink during the game an alcoholic. Most rational folks wouldn't do that

What the hell do you bring into the stadium that has metal on it?
Are you seriously that pissed off about this?
Could not care less.

Well that's easy...hold them in your hand and put them in the little basket thing before walking through. Anyone who's been in an airport knows this.

Flask....
That's just stupid on your part. They make all plastic flasks.

What are you stupid? You realize how long it's gonna take to get in the stadium now?

Maybe they could pipe in the FULL versions of all the great songs played in Tiger Stadium for those waiting in security lines. Nothing says Tiger Stadium tradition like those song clips, and it would get everyone excited.

I’m not going to any LSU football games this year.

How many shootings or stabbings have occurred at major SEC venues? How is this expenditure of money and creation of future headaches anything but bureaucratic nonsense?

I have no dog in this fight or really give a shite about the situation in general but you would probably be one of the first people bitching about "them" not doing anything to prevent it when some idiot goes tard at a game and shoots up a bunch of people
People cant have it both ways.

The usual airport stuff, car keys, belt, coins, phones, etc. If everyone has to stop, check their pockets and basket that stuff I don't see how on earth it won't dramatically slow down the already slow entry into TS, especially for an SEC game. Just like the airport, everyone who "forgets" that money clip or whatever in their pocket will have to go back and pass through again. You could be right...it may end up being no big deal..but I definitely see potential for some serious waiting to get into the stadium.

knife.
Can’t let those sum bitches see it..... walked in last year with my ZT clipped in my pocket as I do every day to go to work or where ever and like I’ve done how ever many times walking into that south end zone gate. No one said shite until they checked my ticket then some random arse bitch walks up to me and said I had to give her my knife. Looked at her crooked and said no I’m good. She wouldn’t let me go any further, so I said fine I’ll go back to my truck and drop it off..... sorry sir you can’t get back in since your ticket is checked. This wasn’t one of the big ZTs it was the small one and was still $200. Told her, you realize there are probably 30k guys with knives in this stadium right?
