That’s how I can see it playing out. Would like to keep Beck fresh for either a Game 4 scenario or in relief for Game 3.

Hilliard was quoted saying he is ready to go when called upon. Sounds like he is ok.

I was just coming to report that also bubbz. So maybe he will be ready to go by Sunday. I'd give him a shot today just incase before his bullpen on Friday

agreed... I think the pitching will be fine. Ballpark is more hitter-friendly than Hoover. Let's keep it going.

Here's the cold hard truth. All these kids have "advisors" and the advisors tell their players do not play/pitch unless you are 100% healthy. Because you are jeopardizing your draft status by hurting your stats, even though you are helping the team by playing thru. So when you hear a pitcher has "discomfort" "sore" "twitch" you are getting the the corporate line from the cheese ball advisor who's only interest is signing his player. This is first hand information.

Pitch Bush and if you lose you could possibly still save Hess/Hilliard and pitch someone else against NW St in game 2

I can only imagine the rage on here if we are facing elimination in game 2 and don’t start our ace

I think in that scenario Hess pitches even against NW State and that’s the call I would probably make too if I’m the coach.

But man it’s hard to see winning two against Oregon State after that without Hess/Hilliard...then again can you imagine if we got bounced from the regional having never pitched Hess or Hilliard? Good lord

I am a little disappointed that we won't have a "Bush vs Beavers" matchup.

That said, Bush makes sense for game 1.

Oh I see, you think size of out filed fence alone determines a hitters/pitchers park?

No, but it's certainly one factor. You don't agree?

Hilliard is a freshman. I'm not sure how skipping out on one game in the 2018 postseason is supposed to help his 2020 draft status. And if one game is going to F up his career and season stats so badly that it does hurt his draft status in 2020, then it seems to me that not playing is the right call....

You know that Hoover is the SEC Tournament park, right? And not LSU's home baseball stadium?

It's notoriously unfriendly to hitters, really moreso than anywhere else LSU plays.

You are getting extremely defensive about this, which makes me think you believe people are criticizing the size of your park (or maybe you are inferring that LSU fans think your record is attributable to a small park?), when really they are just saying that it is a regular college baseball park.

I would hope not, this scenario would imply an "agent" not an "advisor". Which would obviously make said players ineligible.

I agree mostly, the exception being Omaha's new park (when the wind isn't blowing out) .
