Nothing is going to change. The best will play.”

Good for him. That’s a great attitude to have.

Brennan is going to make an excellent starter after this season.

Not surprised I think MB knows he needs more time and I'm pretty sure he was quoted as saying he wanted to Red Shirt last year.

Burrow winning the job would be better for MB because it allows him time for his body to mature before 2019 or 2020.

On the other hand if Narcisse were to win the job, MB never sees the field again unless LN gets hurt.

Good for him, and shame on the tons of people who were shitting all over Brennan saying he needed to transfer.

We'll reassess this comment if he doesn't win the starters job. As of this point though, good for him for sticking around to compete rather than just assume it goes to Burrow and transfer.

Rather have a guy like P Trammel the old Bama QB under Bryant who stabbed the table in front of his competition and challenged them to try beating him out. Needless to say he quickly won the job, won his teammates, coaches and a National title. The first for Coach Bryant. Understand things have gotten a tad more touchy, feely now. And doubless for the better...I guess. But I'm reminded of SGT Barnes who over heard troops in his platoon drunkenly speaking of killing him. He instantly had a switch blade at the throat of one and asked him "what you know 'bout killin' boy"......He had the floor. Trammel grabbed the floor. Was a tremendous physician later in life if I recall after he of course developed a greater appreciation for more genteel persuasion.

Obviously Brennan is more tuned in to the more appropriate behavior these days but I don't go for the BS political correct answers from a QB/leader! Just say "no comment" and let your actions speak.

"Brennan should just transfer. He doesn't have the chest." That quote was thrown around plenty.

Welcoming Burrow and throwing subtle shade at the same time.

I think that he thinks he can still start this season.

I also think he's wrong and that Burrow has already been handed the job provided that he's not a complete disaster.

Didn't say he wanted to but said if was OK with him if he did.

quote:

The four-star quarterback is open to redshirting and said he won’t leave the school if that’s what coach Ed Orgeron and new offensive coordinator Matt Canada decide would be best for him: “It really hasn’t been mentioned to me because of all the stuff that’s been going on. When I was with Coach (Cam) Cameron and Coach (Les) Miles it was brought up, but I haven’t talked to Coach Canada or Coach Orgeron about what their plan is for me next year. I was just putting that out there to let people know I’m not going to leave LSU if I have to redshirt. … I don’t mind getting in there getting bigger, better learning the system and just competing.”
