It’s true. Boomers are the first generation of Americans to actually leave their children a worse nation than what they inherited instead of better.

Enough Millennials are doing bad enough that it impacts our politics. That's why many of them are turning to socialism. The world capitalist economy is at a stage where wealth is becoming increasingly concentrated in fewer hands. Of course there is going to be some anger and resentment. But capitalism concentrates more wealth in fewer hands unless there is some way to redistribute or regulate it.
Those of you who love capitalism so much need to realize that you have to tinker with it to keep enough people from being angry at capitalism, but you're becoming too greedy for your own good.

That is equal to $125,000 in average USA. That is a nice amount, but SV is a ripoff to live in.

By far the laziest and most entitled generation.

Yep. I was born in '78 and I have much more in common with millennials than I do generation Xers, even though I am technically a gen Xer.

How much of that 200k goes to the state California in taxes and rent/mortgage?

That's life, Millennials. You're not untitled to a perfect existence of ever increasing success.

That money has to go somewhere when the earlier generations die off...

Born in 89, doing just fine. Make good decisions and don’t be a shitbag, most of the time it works out.

Every one of my nieces and nephews that are millennials are doing terrible. It's like they don't have any direction. Their parents are awful at helping guide them and are coddling them instead of kicking them out of the nest. The first video game and iPhone generation. May be a hard lesson here.

Born in 83 and I make more than my parents combined on their best year.
But they raised me not to be a little bitch.

Look, I’m doing very well for myself, but it’s myopic to ignore what the real estate bubble did for Boomers. My early childhood home had almost doubled in value by time my parents sold it less than half a decade later. Not because my parents had done anything particularly clever. Just because the market was screaming. The next house they bought skyrocketed in value as well. As did the one the live in now.
But the house they live in now has been stagnant in value for about half a decade.
Does anyone realistically think that my generation won’t face some measure of hardship because real property has skyrocketed in value and then stagnated, so we not only have to pay top dollar, but we see very little of the wealth building effects enjoyed by previous generations?

I was born in ‘84 and am doing just fine. Have been making more than either of my parents for a few years, and likely will make more than both of them combined this year.

I would hope I’m not untitled. Certificate of title is important to have for your vehicle.

Wut
Many are still working into their 70s.
Your one liner is an oft repeated fallacy. Most boomers retired or plan to retire after the age of 65
Most boomers have 401ks and not pensions.

As a millennial small business owner my worst employees are the older generations. They are the definition of come to work simply to collect a paycheck while attempting to do the minimum. Also when it comes to technology they have to be baby sat constantly. Meanwhile we have very little problems with the employees 35 or younger.
