In all fairness, TSA could help with this by trying to be the least bit consistent in all airports. On one of my last trips, MIA wanted EVERYTHING in bins (even bags), and for some reason weren’t making anyone take their shoes off. Then DFW was no bags in bins, but laptops couldn’t be in a bin with anything else. It just seems like it’s up to whatever the agents, who only communicate in grunts, are feeling that day.
This is intentional. It's so that a would-be terrorist can't study the process to find a weakness that can later be reliably exploited. If a weakness is identified, there is no guarantee it'll be useful in any other airport or if the process will even be the same in the airport they studied on the day they try to exploit the weakness.
It's seemingly random at random airports for a reason.

People who get up for the bathroom when the plane is rolling on the runway.

I’ve had more trouble with idiots in the lines at LFT than fricking O’Hare! I think it’s mostly a small airport thing.

Last time I flew out of LFT, some African guy (with heavy accent) in front of me tried to pass 2 big suitcases full of laptops through the TSA line without taking them out. He had 15+ laptops in each bag and took forever taking each one out one by one. Eveybody in line was

Can someone explain this to me then? Because I'm definitely one of those panicky dudes though I stay silent about it. Had a douchebag on one flight start making phone calls at 30k feet once and I thought I was going to die.
What's the point of airplane mode?
Using the plane's Wifi to call through Skype, facebook messenger etc?

It's very common for people from Africa to bring back clothes and electronics for friends and family when they travel from the US. These two items in particular are much more expensive to purchase there.

Lol. You’re giving TSA too much credit.
It doesn’t matter if my shoes are in a bin or directly on the belt. It just has to do with the attitude of the guy who got fired from Taco Bell last month.

TSA Agent is one of those jobs I immediately assume the person wearing the uniform is an illiterate retard/failure in life. I can’t say I’ve been proven wrong yet.

TSA is nothing but security as theater, they fail miserably every time they are tested with fake bombs and other simulated threats. They are a waste of tax payer money, and our time, I would not feel any less safe if they returned to pre 9/11 protocols.

This.
I find it amazing how many people actually believe TSA is some elite force protecting the American skies. Those fricks don’t even have the power of arrest. They’re literally bus boys and delivery drivers wearing a security guard uniform.

TSA amateurs is a biggy. But idiots that don't have their shite together when the plane is at the gate and you have to wait for them to get their stuff while the plane in front of them is empty. Hate that!
Posted on 5/21/18 at 5:51 am to TigersSEC2010
Hey, folks, don't jump all over me because I explained the thinking behind why the TSA changes their routines. The fact is that they do attempt to change their routines with the intent to be "unpredictable".
I'm like most of you and think the TSA is utterly worthless and should never have existed; It does, though, and they fail miserably because it doesn't matter how good the planning is when you hire people of OT intelligence to implement it.

People that can't control their carry on baggage as they walk down the aisle.
I paid for that expensive aisle seat in the front of the plane, motherfricker. Get control of your shite and don't smack me in the legs or shoulder with your bag as you walk down the aisle.

It's been said I'm sure. People who stand as soon as the plane reaches the gate. If you want to stretch, that's fine. But obviously not everyone can stretch at the same time. And if you stood up, it doesn't give you the right to "cut" the unloading process. I'm sitting down until it's my turn. When the row or two in front starts moving, I'll get up. Don't block me in and try to cut me off. It's not your turn yet. You should have gotten a seat further up in the plane if you are in such a hurry.

The idiots who attempt to bum rush to the front of the plane as soon as it parks at the gate?
Yeah I go out of my way to be a dick to these people. I usually sit near the front (not always first but at least MCE) and if some dick back starts cutting people in line I will stand in the aisle tinkering with my bag until he rages. frick these people.

right now it's btr's inablility to separate tsa precheck passengers from non-tsa precheck passengers. $85 to avoid having to take laptop out of bag...nope .. not at btr, gotta take it out because they're too cheap to pay enough people to open both sides. avoid getting behind people who have to go through the regular screening process? nope, not at btr.
Posted on 5/21/18 at 8:22 am to TigersSEC2010
I don’t even care if the plane crashes as long as the person next to me doesn’t smell.

TSA incorporates unpredictable security measures, both seen and unseen, to accomplish our transportation security mission.

TSA uses unpredictable security measures throughout the airport and no individual is guaranteed expedited screening.
TSA, sure, they're stupid and impotent, but not as stupid and impotent as GeauxWrek. Now find a bus to step in front of.
