Seriously though, what’s the OL consensus

The burrow deal is great. I really haven’t followed much regarding spring ball. But from what I have heard, OL needs help ASAP.
Were there injuries, just youth, adjusting to new scheme?

Youth. Also the first team got split up in spring game so no one really knows how good the starting 5 will be. But the depth just hasnt developed yet.

This is what I think.

Looked to me like they shaped up pretty nicely at the end of last year....

Not much help they’ll get between now and September

After watching the Spring Game, the Tackles need serious work with their feet, could be a long year, no matter who is QB.

Neither starting OT played in the spring game

Better overall, especially in pass protection based upon Cregg’s history.

We need to solidify the center position and are a little light at tackle. It seems like Charles and Decalus will be our best two, and neither of them played this spring.
We are loaded at guard. I think if one of them could slide over and play Center, we'd be really strong up the middle. If not, it's going to be Cushenberry starting there.

Guards are good and Charles will lock down LT and be solid. RT will be Deculus or Magee and I’m fine with either. Weak spot is center unless the Spring game was just an off day for Cushenberry.
Would like to see Brumfield be tried and win the center position letting D Lewis start at LG. That would have Cush be your inside reserve. Not sure on our star recruit Traore, he looked lost and slow in the Spring game.
Overall a good group with potentially to be very good.

With any injuries, it could b a disaster.

Most of the Diaper Brigade on this board apparently have no idea what an Offensive Line is and what it does.
Nobody on the one at LSU, would make the two-deep OL depth chart at Alabama.
You have to Protect the Quarterback on passing plays, in addition to run blocking. In order to do that, all 5 OL's have to know their reads and assignment. If just one of them whiffs, it falls apart. We've seen way too much of that lately and I haven't seen anything to provide evidence that it will change much in 2018.
Burrow will be a dramatic improvement at the position, but until we get 5 starting OL's that are consistently good at "Quick Information Processing" and can physically dominate who they're supposed to be blocking, the LSU Offense will not be as good as everybody wants.
And who's the fricking starting Center that will make all the OL calls? Lloyd "Nobody in the SEC recruited Me" Cushenberry, Damiem "I've never played Center" Lewis or Cole "True freshman that's not big or strong enough Yet" Smith.
Shake those Pom Poms, keep your heads buried in the sand and down vote away kiddies.
Reality sets in this season when we can't keep pressure off Joe and Myles against upper level SEC teams...…..

We return 3 starters: Charles (LT), Ingram (OG), Brumfiled (OG).
OC: Cushenberry currently is the starter, Cole Smith is a very good HS OC, but probably needs to RS and add weight and strength, Damien Lewis could play OC or OG and the coaches love him. He's the strongest OL on the team.
RT: Deculus was a top 10 OT coming out of HS in 2016. He played in every game for LSU last year, but struggled. He apparently did well in the offseason because coaches had listed him as starter before he got injured early spring. Traore was the #1 JUCO OT, but struggled in the spring game. If he improves in the fall he could get the start.
2 more 4 star OL were added in the class with Wire and Hines.
Other OL who have seen playing time or have solid potential: Magee, Campbell and Savage.
We have plenty of talent, but we need a healthy, consistent group of starters. If we have to keep rotating starters the OL will likely struggle.

Take a bottle scotch, add some pills and keep the S&W in the nightstand. We had two starting tackles out during the spring. When health returns the results will be there. Cushenberry will be fine. Lewis is an animal at guard. RELAX... or follow my advice above.

You know Cush was committed to South Carolina before he flipped to LSU on signing day right? And that South Carolina is an SEC team?

OL was a huge problem last year. Hope it improves this year.
Brumfield will play center. Hope Traore can contribute at RT.

They ended the season playing really well.
I wouldn’t put too much stock in the spring game for many reasons:
1) Both projected tackles didn’t play
2) 1st and 2nd string were mixed
3) Spring games are usually sloppy
4) James Cregg is a pretty darn good coach
5) Does any O-Line ever look good against Aranda?
I’m not gonna sit here and tell you we’ll have the best O-Line in the SEC, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we finished top 3.

We will be fine at oline. Talent is there and Cregg is an excellent oline coach

Burrow's dual threat. He doesn't need blockers.
