Port Orleans has a great space and warrants a visit imo
The actual spot is nice and they have pretty good food but the beer is just not very good. I’ve given it a few chances but I don’t see myself ever going back.

The beer is drinkable, no? Only tried a few.

I know they have a nice space, good food, an actual female clientele, A/C, and tables that arent made out of wooden spools. If you're starting at NOLA dont ya think it warrants at least a visit?

Courtyard does, but they only turn it on for people they like.

Bud light is drinkable doesn't mean I want it, especially if the question is the best.
Courtyard and Urban South are obviously the two best in the City.

Nola has a nice area but I've been disappointed the last few times I've been.

Brieux Carre has stepped up their game but that area is just so small. You can barely walk inside if people stand or sit at the bar.

Parleaux has a great outdoor area but the beer like FT said is hit or miss.

Second line I need to go back, I wasn't impressed the first time and should give them a second chance.

I want to go to Wayward Owl just haven't yet

Courtyard isn’t bad Lester, obviously if it’s 98 yea it’ll be hot

But on an average day, the ac/fan combo makes it tolerable

the question at hand was best breweries and beer fwiw

The beer portion of the thread was covered. I think Port Orleans is a nice brewery. Pound a few Pils with the baws and be on the way. Ive been to em all multiple times. PO is a good time

From what I can tell, Port Orleans is trying really hard. I’ve only been once and the beer was truly awful. The restaurant attached wasn’t very good either. It does seem they’re improving and I want to visit them again.

Speaking strictly about the space, it’s fabulous. Easily the best in the city.

They have a new IPA that is more than servicable and a barrel aged porter that is pretty remarkable.

If you’re going to a brewery to drink beer, no I wouldn’t recommend it over a number of other places. The Stockhold puts out good food, but the price point is highl. The beer is simply not good.
