According to Profootball Rumors, the Falcons are trying Russell Gage at Corner in their rookie mini-camp. #DBU

He's only going to spend 3 days at cornerback. The rest of the 28 days will be back at wide receiver.

LSU already tried that
ETA: Why am I being downvoted? He played his first two seasons as a CB

It won't really matter. His best chance at playing time is on special teams.

Bro, do you even Burrow?

So the defense thinks they can Burrow him? I Don’t Joe about that.

In other words-
The Falcons, intrigued by their recent success drafting LSU players, take a late round flyer on another Tiger, Gage, who put up good pro day stats.
They quickly realize he has little/no chance to make the squad on offense, and has minimal experience as a returner, so they try him at DB to see if there's anything worth exploring. He's got the athleticism to make for a good gunner on ST, and needs to find a suitable "official" position such as corner, even if he would still only be 3rd string, to get a better chance to make the team.

What does this have to do with Joe Burrow? Keep this off the JB board.

Bs? What's he going to do for ATL? Run sweeps?
He exceeded my expectations in Canada's offense. But, let's get real here.
But looks like a st guy.

Honed in on Gage for multiple rounds… Played corner and receiver… Will be on every special teams. Real competitor through and through. Special teams sets the tone for competitiveness… Gage + Justin Bethel can be a force for special teams… Important move for the team.
