Patriots Tried Moving Up to #2 To Take Baker Mayfield per Agent

So Baker Mayfield's agent said on ESPN today, that the New England Patriots were going to move up to #2 in the draft and take Baker Mayfield if the Browns didn't select him #1. The Jets also had Baker Mayfield #1 on their board. Couple that with the fact that Rosen slid in the draft, does this validate the Browns selecting Baker Mayfield #1?

From what I gathered everyone had Baker #1, and by a wide margin
The guy has done exactly what you want in a modern qb. He is accurate, and can diagnose a playbook and defenses quickly

Could have been a Patriot, actually drafted by the Browns. That's about as big an organizational discrepancy as you can get.
