Broke or Watch Experts of the OT - Watch Repair

I'd like to get my wife's old watch cleaned and back to new. Or at least as new as can be. Any idea how much it might cost? From what I can gather, the mechanics are fine (just needs a battery), but there's a diamond or two missing. They're very small diamonds, so I'm thinking/hoping it won't be too costly. Any idea what goes into this and what it might cost?
For all the clever OTer's, I've already ruled out three fifty, unfortunately.

I came into possession of a 50 yr old Rolex upon my uncle’s death. Had it rebuilt for about $2k. Great timepiece . Do it

You could buy another one of the same quality for $75 on Canal street.
Fakes aren't worth working on.

Any reputable online places to buy a used or new Rolex?

Well I’m clearly not a watch expert or I wouldn’t be asking.
Perhaps I was just hoping it was a battery issue and I’m not right. This one is a bit older so I just assumed it has a battery. If it doesn’t then the price to repair it just went way up.
But this is why I asked. Good to know.

Yeah it’s a fake. You got me. I was asking for advice, but comments like yours are par for the course. Sorry you can’t fathom someone having a nice watch because you don’t have one, I guess.

Some do.
I would bring it to Lee Michaels, only because I have used them for everything though. Not because they are particularly better or reasonable.

Well... not true. Rolex did make a limited number of Oysterquartz watches during the quartz revolution but you don't see them often and of course they said Oysterquartz on the dial not Datejust.

They made quartz watches in the 70s and 80s. I'm guessing a lot of the ladies watches from that era would be.

Yes, but it's so obscure and against their norm. Plus the OP watch says oyster perpetual.

Trustworthy jewelry store and if I still lived in BR, that’s exactly where I’d take it. I’m going to bring it to a reliable jewelry store in my area tomorrow after work, I was just curious what I am getting myself into.

Watch is fake a frick.
Shitty magnified date bubble is a dead give away, among other things.

Everything about it really but the 5 foot tell is the lack of magnification by the cyclops.

Explain. I have no reason to believe this isn’t real, but I’d love to hear your logic.
I’m honestly asking, what does this mean? I’m being pretty up front that I’m no watch expert.

And the circle on the bottom of the crown. It's supposed to be an small oval not a circle.

The bubble on the glass is supposed to magnify the date, it’s very pronounced on a real Rolex and it’s an expensive feature to work into a crystal face. Yours isn’t magnified at all. It’s the easiest way to spot a shitty fake Rolex.
