This game is the RE4 of the series. Perfect combination of horror and action

Agreed. The first was very well done horror and the 2nd did a great job of improving on the series. The third just flat ruined any traction that the first two built.

I grabbed dead space 1 off of origin for free a few weeks ago. I actually look forward to playing it.

i enjoyed the first one, but lots of stuff was clunky, especially the zero grav sections. i also hate silent protagonists in games like that. constantly reminds you that youre playing a game and blows immersion when it's just character after character telling you to do this and that. It was terrifying in the first hour or so but never hit that level of fear again
I enjoyed the setting of 3 and had a decent time until the 3rd act. Really jumped the shark with the full-on action change though.
2 just nailed the balance for me.

I wish I didn't hate horror games/movies. fricking stressful.
Hell, the first time I tried to play Bioshock, I put it down after a couple of hours. Next time, played it with headphones instead of speakers and caught all of the audial cues which reduced jump scares significantly and made it playable for me.
Something like Dead Space would kill me
