Study finds that ‘very unattractive’ people make more money
quote:
A study from the Journal of Business and Psychology of 20,000 young Americans, interviewed the subjects at home at age 16 and then three more times before they turned 29-years-old. The researchers looked at the correlation between attractiveness and income of the participants based on a five-point scale of physical attractiveness from “very unattractive” to “very attractive.”

However, those rated as “very unattractive” also saw a positive correlation when it came to money. The VUs (who only made up 1 to 2% of the survey sample) were found to always earn more than the just regular “unattractive” people and sometimes even more than just “average-looking” people and even the “attractive” people. This is turning previous research on its head as this demonstrates an “ugliness premium.”

Good thing all that matters is how much you keep.
ETA: Consider what motivates people in general. Everyone wants to get laid. So if you're physically unattractive, the best route to being "attractive" is through finance.

So the ugly high school nerds make more money at 29 than the popular attractive kids. This isn’t really that surprising.

Being poor has finally paid off for me

I'm an outliner on this study: I'm good looking , make six figs and have a 12" dick

I'd rather be rich and ugly than poor and beautiful.

This doesn't make sense at all. Good looking people have all the advantages in life. If this survey were accurate I would be a multi millionaire.

I must be pretty darn good looking then.

Is the study broken down by gender? I have a feeling very unnattractive men make more money than the women.
And did this include musicians/rock stars? 'Cause Mick Jagger and Snoop Dogg would skew the results.
