Why do people love cover bands at weddings?

What would you prefer? I don't want to hear original music that nobody else has heard at a wedding reception. And a DJ is trashy.

NOLA Dukes is really good. I’ve heard them at multiple weddings and they never disappoint.

However, there was recently some bad press about them on TD.

Another vote for Groovy 7. They cover all genres and it's a good group of folks.

If you're feeling pop/bro country, 90 Degrees West is solid and fun.

Category 6 is good, as well.

I went to a reception with BoD playing and it was awesome. Then again we are a bunch of 30 year olds who don’t mind drinking and dancing all night

Wise Guys, or Boogiemen, would be my pick, they are pretty much interchangeable, have seen them both numerous times and cant ever remember who was who.

Yeah, I remember them being good.

Only other bad besides BoD that I thought sucked in the last ten years was Benny Grunch. Someone booked them as the opening band at a krewe party and they sucked so bad we left for an hour to go downstairs and drink at the bar.

We had Soul Vaxxination at our wedding. They were fantastic. This was also 7 years ago so I have no idea if they’re still together.

The Pick Six band from Chalmette is excellent. I would imagine they wouldn't be very expensive either. Recently saw them at Boomtown Casino and they blew me away. Two girl singers and one guy playing a mix of current hits with oldies.

We had River City Hit Squad. Everyone loved them. They were good, but if I had to choose again, we would’ve picked Souled Out.
