After arranging for Colin Kaepernick to work out for the Seattle Seahawks this week, team officials postponed the trip when the quarterback declined to stop kneeling during the national anthem next season, a league source told ESPN on Thursday. Seattle still is considering bringing in Kaepernick for a tryout, and no decisions are final, a source said. The Seahawks had contacted Kaepernick about two weeks ago to arrange a visit to the team's headquarters, but after tentative arrangements were made and travel planned, the trip was unexpectedly scuttled over the Seahawks' last-minute stipulation regarding Kaepernick's anthem stance, a source told ESPN. The source said the Seahawks wanted to know that Kaepernick wouldn't kneel this season, and he was unwilling to give that assurance to them.

Dude doesn't want a job, he wants to stir shite.

he knows he sucks, so he keeps finding a way to keep his name in the media because football isnt an option. Kaeperkneeler can squat all season if he likes, but can do it in his own privacy.

Just let the big haired baw stay unemployed. He's not worth a damn as a QB or a person. Let him walk away

He has the skill to be on a roster (or at least he did when he last played 100 years ago), but for whatever reason he seems to get kicks out of stirring up the media.

Better than Eric Reid betraying his cause faster than I can say "1" to be signed, as much as Kaep annoyed me with his actions and statements, I'll give credit when credit's due the dude's got balls and is committed for principle's sake. Now for NFL QB job and economics' sake, those chances could diminish severely. Capitalism and free market, y'all.

I agree.......even if it's a stupid decision on his part. Go figure Seattle of all people talking to him.

He actually backtracked on that when asked by the Bengals.

You don't have total freedom at your workplace.

Every employer has rules.

If your employer says you can't smoke at the workplace you can't smoke at the workplace.

Every job has conditions.

Like I said with Reid, he needs to decide if he wants to play football or be an activist.

I support his right to take his stands but I also support a franchise's right to run a business free of elements that might enrage their customers.

Send his arse to Canada and see how much their willing to pay him to play football over there. Respect this country and our flag or GTFO.

Exactly. That's why I have to wear a shirt with a collar and khaki pants instead of a cut off sleeve t-shirt, backwards hat, and shorts to work. People(ESPN) tend to forget this when dealing with this situation. If I go to an interview I am told certain stipulations, if I can't do those I don't get hired. He can kneel on his own time, but if the company/boss say no then do it or get canned. Nobodies rights are being denied like some want to act like is happening. No one is getting "blackballed". The companies(teams) just don't want to hire a troublemaker. Happens everyday, everywhere across the U..S.

It's very immature of him.

The whole kneeling situation was such crap and I look forward to moving past all that garbage.

No, he does not. It's all about attention and keeping himself relevant. It's not balls whatsoever. It doesn't stand for anything. Actions speak louder than that, and kneeling is not proactive. He should give up on the NFL by now and go focus on whatever it is he actually believes in.

I'd like to believe Eric Reid wised up.. and perhaps realized it really isn't worth it. Literally, it isn't worth anything. If anything I'd give Reid credit for recognizing how silly it was and being smarter about it..

That's more of what I expect from Reid.
