Guess im wrong, wild dogwood is what i was thinking of, those are fagrant? I know theyre pretty in the piney woods.

I think you are referring to a gardenia bush. The best smelling flower I have ever walked near.
The only trees with white flowers are magnolias or Dogwood trees, but they don't really have a smell.

We have Arabian jasmine that has white flowers with a pleasant aroma

If it's five small pedals on a vine it's Star Jasmine.

If it's a tree it's honeysuckle.

Ligustrum.
Sweet Olive, Jasmine, Gardenia, etc., come close but aren't what you are smelling this strong.

Ligustrum is very sweet. Too sweet, sickenly sweet for my taste but this could be what you are thinking about. Sweet olive is by far the more pleasant smell in my opinion. It has a more fruity fragrance similar to apricot. By the way honeysuckle dies have a nice smell but is a vine, and crape myrtles typically have no fragrance. Confederate jasmine, also a vine but is very fragrant as well.
