All I want is Pernell to keep his promise to bring the Cup to Montreal’s Children’s Hospital and St Patrick to coach the Habs without Bergy being around.

Is that too much to ask for?

Pretty happy with the draw. Would have prefered the Flyers thanks to their goalie situation, but I'm excited we get the Battle of Pennsylvania. And the danger of playing Philly is that they really do beat the snot out of you. That's a physical team that takes its toll on you. The Penguins probably beat them, but someone also probably takes a battery to the head.

I get why the Jackets didn't want to rematch with the Penguins given their history, but the Caps match up better with the Jackets than the other Metro teams. The way to beat the Caps is to power match their top lines with studs of your own (Crosby in PIT, Giroux in Philly, Hall in NJ). Deep teams without that stud top line tend to get overwhelmed by the Caps top two lines and can't make up the difference on their advantage on the bottom two lines.

The teams that give the Caps the biggest problems are heavy teams that hit a lot. Their worst results are against LA, Calgary, Philly, and Vegas (ok, and Nashville). Teams that throw the body around. Columbus hits, but not like those teams.

Also, the Jackets are a bit of a bully. They destroy bad teams and lose to good ones. They had that big 10 game win streak that only included three wins over playoff teams, and they finished up 3-4 as soon as the schedule toughened up. But look how Columbus has played against the conference's top 6: 7-9-5. IF we count OT losses as losses, they lose two games for every one they win against the conference's elite. Washington, by contrast, are 9-6-1.

Looking forward to losing in the second round to the Penguins again.

Odds Philly can win first round?

I want to think they can do it, but Pittsburgh just somehow turns it on in the postseason.

Capitals seem primed for a third straight second round meeting with Pittsburgh. Gotta get through Columbus but the idea of that has me excited yet terrified.

In this bitch.

Preds only have about 100 tickets per game that will be made available to everyone who signs up for the lottery.

I don't see where/how to join the pickem group, when I click the link it just goes to my dashboard and I don't see anywhere to search or find the TD league.

I think I've won it the last 2 years so I understand if you are scared, it may or may not have to do with my team winning the Cup both years and picking them.
