I know chess and checkers are still big.
I'm talking about cribbage, backgammon, Risk, bridge (which I've never learned), etc.
Cribbage is my favorite card game of all times.
Side note, do you know you cannot score a 19 in a hand of cribbage?

I play Bridge, Risk, Cribbage, Euchre, Progressive Rummy (can play all rummy’s), Hearts, Spades, and chess fairly regularly. I’m 35
side note, you can’t score a 25, 26, or 27 either ;)
ETA: however, with my aged friends, we typically play Presidents, Dominion, Settlers of Cataan, Epedimic or something like that

What a dumb game. It was fun when i was 8, then i learned chess.
I still like spades and hearts as far as card games.
Every family vacation we play risk. Usually gets somebody really pissed off which is always fun

My husband used to play cribbage with his father every night until his dad couldn't any longer due to dementia. He lived next door to us and every night after dinner, he'd go over to check on him, play a game of cribbage and get him ready for bed.

I don't get checkers either, but I will note that Vassily Ivanchuk, one of the top chess players from the past couple of decades, apparently finds checkers to be fascinating as well.

I played many a game of Kings in the Corner with my grandparents. They're gone now so now every weekend I make it a point to spend a couple of ours playing that with my parents. Good times.
Other games I played growing up was Rummikub (spelling?) and Sequence.

I play Bridge at work during lunch, but can't get anyone else to play. The most common response I get when I suggest it is, "I'm not 80 years old."
