His point was not about shielding Michelle Obama from criticism. Not even about shielding her from personal attacks that are racist and sophomoric.

. Are you seriously equating racist 3rd person ad hominem attacks as being classy? The point is that you DEBASE the actual political climate and prevent others from hearing real conservative points of view.

The OP is exactly right. Many here need to grow up. I wonder how many posters who have used that kind of personal attack consider themselves Christians.

I have never called her a man and I have never called her husband gay. Feel free to look up my posting history. The problem I have with her stems mostly from the left wing press.

I read TONS of articles a day. During the 8 years they were in office any time Michelle stepped out of the WH the press would run a pic with the title:
'Michelle Stuns in _______ outfit.'
or
'First Lady Dazzles in _________ dress.'

There is nothing stunning or dazzling about Michelle's looks. It would be kind to call her 'average' looking.

She is certainly much better looking than Hillary Clinton. But so is a fresh dog turd. Now, we have by far the most beautiful first lady in US history and the press hates her.

"Leave Britney Alone!"

That gif made me go look at the video. I just learned that it's a dude. Always thought it was a chick. Kind of creeped out now.

Am I suppose to take a man seriously who decides his vote based upon the antics of tailgaters?

Hi, well I think you allowing your father in law or his friends to continue to say racial slurs around your company is setting us back and hurting the middle. If only you were a strong enough person to stand up and do what you're trying to preach to us now.

Mrs. Obama's speech where she said she was finally proud of America is what made me dislike her. She should have been proud since birth to live in the greatest country, with more freedom and opportunity than anywhere else on earth.

That and the abomination she pushed onto our school childrens school lunch program also contributed to my feelings about her.

Seriously.

I read the OP twice and I'm still not sure what profound ideas I'm supposed to be considering. Michelle Obama's politics and condescension are exactly in line with her husband's and she has expressed this openly. She sucks.

So what's the complaint? People on internet message boards sometimes go overboard in mocking her? Kind of like...every political message board across the spectrum does to their political opposition?

What does it matter? She has zero bearing on the direction of this country then or now. No different than the left calling Nunes a dolt or Trump “Drumpf” or whatever they call him. shite gets slinged from both sides equally.

I'm sorry, but Michelle said many and still does say many bombastic/inflammatory things. She was as divisive as her husband was/is. She deserves no respect or respite from criticism. When a woman tells America she is proud of America for the first time in her life because her husband was voted into a high office is disgusting and pathetic on so many levels.

Some of your family members using racist and reprehensible names does not make political opinions and ideals wrong, it just makes your family racist disgusting people.

Did you call out your FIL during the family gathering for using racist comments so openly and often? Did you stand up to him and tell him how wrong he was? Did you show your friend how morally strong you are by rebuking your wife's father? If you did not, and I have a strong suspicion you did nothing, then kindly gtfo.

Anyone who gets unhinged over a black former First Lady saying banal things is either batshit insane or racist.

Wtf are you babbling about?

ETA: your post is the very definition of cuck. Lecturing people you don't know about things they never said because it might offend some imaginary conservative Democrat?

You truly are a retard.

Sounds like you made a bad decision on the type of people to associate with. I am from the south and conservative and my father in law and his friends don't ever use the N-word. I guess that's a good anecdotal rebuttal? Not sure what your point is with all that.

It's interesting because he has ignored the posts that have pointed out his family get together and his FIL using racist language in front of everyone and his friend who was insulted, but he most likely did nothing to stop when faced with the opportunity to do so.
