I did and nope. Just because there's one bad apple doesn't mean it spoils the bunch. You didn't convince your friend as much as you thought. Anyone with some intelligence knows that both sides have their fair share of bad apples. So, if your friend was coming around on the south not being full of racists he would have known that he should still expect a few shitheads.
You're also telling people to quit saying mean things about Michelle Obama on a message board. I don't know if they say these things in their social lives or around liberals, but many here have regularly engaged the left in the differences between conservatism and today's liberalism. If the liberals on this board and in the world really are open to conservative ideas then they'll ignore the noise and seek debate.

I'm back from the run, and NO, you got it wrong. I think criticism of Michelle Obama IS completely appropriate. And my post history easily confirms that.
But I also KNOW that calling her Big Foot or "a man" and so on... does nothing to further anything fruitful in political debate or commentary... it just tightens the echo chamber

I can despise her (nearly) as much as you, while also calling her Mrs. Obama and not "ugly bitch" or "bigfoot".
I don't know why some of you can't see nuances... criticism is fine. And she deserves a fricking assload of criticism. BUT there is a line that probably shouldn't be crossed. Reasonable people know that.
