2004 Dodge 2500 diesel. Total excluding fuel, oil and tire change, $1900. Have about 211K now.

Oh, that is 14+ years owning it.

So, I can buy a Honda and pay just a little more in repair costs over ten years and save the $8000 mark up compared to toyota? Plus, get the same qulity and mileage out of the vehicle. I think I'll continue to be a Honda customer.

I haven’t put more than $2,000 into my gmc truck in 13 years. Runs like a champ.

Wife's 17 year old 4runner gets an oil change every 10k. A filter change every 20k. And a coolant and transmission drain and fill every 30k. Air filter once every 40k.

That's $132 of maintenance every 30k miles.

The only thing every replaced was two front axles. The boots split when I lifted it. Both axles rebuilt by an offroad shop in Colorado with hend end parts. 550 bucks.

Total maintenance costs over the last 220k miles: $1575.

Even if we include the long travel parts and sets of tires, we are at $5325

Well this is a surprise.

I don't understand why people love BMWs so much. They really do suck.

But did anyone mention that the parts for those vehicles cost more? So it's going to cost more to fix them?

Porsche not listed so what does that mean? I know I have to change oil and tires every so often. Guess there really is no substitute. Thanks, scientology guy in Risky Business movie!

Thanks my man. I'm on this phone and it would not let me copy and paste for some reason. Figured someone would do it and I'd get a lot of downvotes. Yep, I was right. Lol. Have a great day friend.

If you buy a mid-to-high tier BMW or Mercedes then you're not worried about the cost of maintenance. You understand that it'll cost more to maintain the car.

You doing the work yourself? Three oil changes, oil filter, coolant flush and fill and transmission flush and fill for $132.00???

Is 10k oil and 20k filter interval what Toyota recommends for that year and model?

09 Ram 1500, bought new, 175,000 miles. I just made my most expensive purchase on it yesterday. My factory battery finally started getting weak on me and the new one was $113

I drive a 07 Honda Pilot. It has over 201,000 Mile on it....it runs incredible. Keep up with the oil changes, change timing belts, water pump, etc...I bet I can get another 200,000.

You can’t put a price on the prestige of a 3 series BMW.
