My uncle is the crazy Bible beater. My aunt is rather annoyed with him. She wanted to say grace before the meal and just before she began, uncle says "can I blow the sheephorn before you say grace". She said "whatever uncle do whatever you want to do". So uncle started to talk for a second and aunt says "you said you were just going to blow the horn, just blow the horn". He went into a 2 minute sermon about why he's going to blow a sheephorn, proceeds to blow the sheephorn, and then my 5 year old nephew looks right at him and says "that's really annoying".

Did it involve him being Jewish?

I had an uncle like that and he always annoyed us at family gatherings with wanting to preach and judge everyone. The worst was some of our crawfish boils down on the bayou. Everyone there was ok with drinking except for him and he would try and lecture us about going to hell because we were having a few beers with our crawfish.

Eventually when one of his young daughters got knocked up at a young age he started to back off and let people be.

I really don't know the details nor dynamics here, but on first glance, from your description:

- your uncle sounds like he was trying to bring an important part of his religious belief(s) and/or momentos into an Easter Dinner... which seems a pretty decent thing to do.

- your aunt sounds like a real unsupportive bitch

- your nephew sounds like a disrespectful little shite
