I always heard that some really good people in the locker room got tired of dealing with him.

Never heard that rumor before. LSU WRs were tanking intentionally to make Booty look bad? Why? Thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

He was rated ahead of Manning coming out of high school - if that was the case the talent should have played out eventually in the NFL

Most athletes, even just regular guys who played high school sports, think that if it wasn't for one coach, or a couple of different breaks, they would have made it in professional sports. Pure delusion.

The guy wasn't very good at QB. Eli Manning played at Ole Miss. When you are a great QB, it doesn't matter how shitty your team is or your coaching staff.

he mentions he wishes he’d have went to LSU when Saban was there

His sophomore season was Saban's first year. He had a shot to play for Saban, but he fricked up the UAB game and Saban went with Davey. To be fair, Booty did have a great 4 game stretch during Saban's first year when Davey was injured.

The Peach Bowl sealed his fate.

Just to be sure, you're saying the QB coaching that Booty got at LSU was on par with David Cutcliffe right? Because that's how your statement sounds.

ETA: Under Dinardo. Because that's what the Booty quote is referencing.

I was in the locker room and part of the media. Definitely seemed like Rohan was more popular with the guys. Josh was viewed as an older out of touch white guy type.

ETA: I’m not saying they tanked their effort. But they didn’t go out of their way to help.

A starting lineman dressing out at halftime when Rohan was about to take over shows this. Plus Rohan actually was better.

I agree. Rohan is still my favorite LSU QB.

How slow of a news/sports day was it to have Josh freaking Booty on your show?

None. Booty wasn't nearly as good as he thought he was. But his knob slobbers couldn't admit that fact, so they invented reasons for his crappy play.

The lineman was injured and Saban asked him to play at halftime when he put in Davey. But yes the team chemistry was on a different level with Davey, you could see it in the Tennessee game and the 2nd half of Peach Bowl.

Possibly, but knowing his family's history, he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt.

And if Saban would go back Booty probably would have never played a snap. Dude was plain bad.

Which shitty people in the locker room forced him to ignore the play the coaches called and draw up a play in the dirt that caused LSU to lose to UAB?

Did WRs dropping balls lead to him throwing 34 INTs compared to only 24 INTS?

And which receivers tanked their performance? If you look at the stats, it would appear that Abrams numbers were much better before Josh arrived. He went from 54 receptions the year before Josh to 26 and 2 the 2 years that Josh was at LSU.

The same "locker room problems " occurred with certain players wanting Jefferson to start over Lee. I know this for a fact.
