im not getting that garbage all over my stuff. maybe I could powdercoat it for cheaper? I'd rather just have it linex'd tho

I'd try a DIY kit for it. Sounds like a good idea

sounds like a little overkill to me, especially for $150 bucks. But then again, i'm a cheap arse and my toolbox looks like crap.
So dont go by me
ETA - Yeah if you are going to do it...buy the spray cans of bedliner spray for $10 bucks.

I saw a truck here in Memphis a week or two ago that was completely covered in Line-x or whatever other brand.

that's a little overboard in my opinion but if you have $150 of frick you money to spend on something like that, then do it.

Weatherguard for life. I don't play with cheap tool boxes

I used the rattle can spray in bedliner from walmarcks. It's not as thick as line-x, but it keeps the oxidation down.

i would do the whole outside of the truck... at the least all floorboards

The inside of your toolbox isn't powder coated or painted? My steel toolbox is probably 20 years old with heavy metal shite slinging around in it daily, and it only has a tiny amount of surface rust.
Putting bedliner on the inside will just cause it to remain forever dirty. There's no way you'd be able to wipe up spills
Eta: I have grease, dirty tools, dirt, etc in there which possibly protects it from rusting

The inside of my toolbox is lined with felt.

UWS is garbage. Mine has been a POS since I bought it new and I'm only in it 5x's a week. Weatherguard is expensive but it's incredible how much better built they are.

Tool boxes are trashy. Get a camper top instead.
