You would have thought he was just some ordinary guy in Avengers that isn’t a “super” soldier. He doesn’t have Superman strength or Thor strength but the Super Soldier Serum is supposed to give enhanced strength and speed and durability. The Russo’s gave that to him starting in Winter Soldier. And it seems like they like to show it in each movie that Cap isn’t some regular dude and is worthy of being the leader

In the original comics Captain America wasn't superhuman. The super soldier serum made him the absolute epitome of human strength and endurance but did not give him anything super human. So while he was always stronger and faster than any regular person, he was a weakling next to even the lowest powered superhumans.

In terms of raw power:

Ego
Surtur
Thanos
Hela

Give each their accessories:

Thanos w/IG
Surtur with Twilight Sword
Ego
Hela

Here's a question for the readers, since i never got into the comics. In the MCU, is there a creator/all powerful figure/God?

By that I mean, is there a chracter in the book that is above all others in every way? As opposed to say a DBZ-like universe where every season there is another tier of All-Powerful beings that arrises? (Of course, absolutely no disrespect to DBZ in saying that)

The One Above All (TOAA). Basically, Stan Lee. Not the One Above All celestial.

So what happens with the MCU once Thanos is defeated? Is that the conclusion of the MCU timeline?

Seriously, who’s the next big bad villain to build up to when they dispatch Thanos?

I would think Galactus could be next. Or Dr. Doom.

Maybe Mephisto

I've said in a few of the speculative threads that I think the movies will go more cosmically centric, basically flipping the orientation of the Guardians and Avengers from the first 4 phases. The Guardians films will become the "center" of the MCU (with a significantly altered roster), or the Avengers will themselves be more cosmic focused with Captain Marvel in the lead. I think with the Black Panther success, he will leads the Avengers, and the former will happen - Guardians gets a roster that probably includes Captain Marvel, Hulk and someone else like Vision. ( 1 or 2 of the current roster die in Infinity War/A4 and Star-Lord gets a solo series).

That's a long way of saying, I think we are going even more cosmic than Thanos, therefore I think it's one of Kang (thanks Fox acquisition) or Annihilus.

I'd put Doom as a possibility, especially if we are messing with the timeline via Thanos. Norman Osborne would be great - with Thunderbolts and/or a Seige play. But I think the success of all of the space stuff is too big to ignore.

Maybe Galactus? If he is somehow defeated (which is always only temporary), the Living Tribunal. I’ve always been under the impression that the Beyonder (the only immortal who is also a mutant) is the most powerful (except for TOAA/Stan Lee). So many of these guys have fought each other that it’s difficult to definitively say who’s next...

It would be awesome to see the Annihilation wave and the Negative Zone. But there are two things that would seem to be essential here: The introduction of a lot of characters like the heralds of Galactus and the negative zone, which was discovered by Reed Richards, but he is currently tied up with Fox (I think). Though, watching Galan lose his shite would be awesome.

Without knowing better I figured they would do a secret wars trilogy at some point.

They've stripped other stories of other big pieces. It's been their M.O. They'll use Annihilus, the schematic of the conflict, and scale it down with more recognizable and easier to understand pieces - see Civil War for the best example. And remember - Silver Surfer, Galactus, Adam Warlock, all play a big-ish part in the Infinity Gauntlet story.

I think if they did Annihilation, they'd use someone else in place of Galactus. A lot of the major players, outside of Galactus and and Nova, are already in play - Xandar, Ronan, Drax, etc. I think the only critical piece they'd need is Nova, obviously. The Heralds are easy inclusion - even if you didn't use Galactus - as villains of the lead in films.

I think they do this with whatever big bad and arc is in play any case, Annihilation, Secret Invasion, Secret Wars, any of the Magus stories, etc. I think most are flexible enough to do it. I do think the Beyonder would be interesting to introduce, I think he's a dark horse for the big villain. Although, in that case, I think they make the story significantly different. Maybe even bigger.
