This will be me and my friends first time going. Where should we park? And what is the best spot to watch the parade?

disappointed that I am on the driver side of our float this year. It's hard to beat throwing a 6' stuffed snake at the overpass and watching grown men fight for a stuffed animal

I lived on the route and that was far better than Overpass. Have a few different people at houses on the route this year, luckily.
Last year we were under the overpass and I swear must have chosen the trashiest people in Louisiana to stand behind. Hammered dudes, maybe 21(?), shaking up cans of beer and spraying themselves/everyone around them (including people’s young kids). Think a Bud Light version of a champagne shower.
