It could be a really good team but right now I think next year is the year. Pitching is encouraging though, it seems to be deep enough to make a run.

PM already has the bus warmed up and ready for a trip to Omaha. He is driving and will run over anyone in his way.

People swung at bad pitches that freshman season. He didn’t have a change and his command wasn’t that great.
CPM said the best Lange was in his sophomore year.

I agree somewhat but it’s a little early to say this. This team definitely has the potential to make a deep run but it’s going to be bumpy along the way. This team reminds me of the 2016 team. No one will expect them to host a regional after the first few weeks of the SEC schedule but I can see them finding theit groove and making a run.

Top to bottom I like this pitching staff more than last year’s. Wish we could take last year’s weekend rotation with this year’s bullpen. Hilliard, Labas, and Storz could make this pitching staff deep and dominant. This team has a lot of potential but it’s too early to say they’ll be better than last year’s.

Still some question marks. I'm still not convinced on starting pitching and I'm scared small ball can kill this team with teams stealing and bunting. This LSU team has been far from dominant so far.

BS. If you read any of my post I am constantly preaching about how 1 game, 1 series doesn't make a season. It is mostly in response to people melting over one bad game/loss. Today's game in particular has nothing to do with me making that statement.

With stealing? Have you been watching games? Feducci is gunning down runners left and right. If a team depends on stealing bases to win games, they will not beat LSU.

This is too high, and a lot of the crap posted on Friday is too low.

This is a team that, a successful season will be hosting a regional. Getting a top 8 seed would be overachieving.

I'm not sure why he said that, maybe leading a young team but that was his worst statistical year in almost every category. I would take his junior year over any other he was a man among boys in Omaha last year.

Feduccia has thrown out 50% of runners this year. That dude is nails. Calm yourself

Hey, they're improving steadily. Our boys will be right there in the mix that's for sure. But I really need to see how they stack up against SEC competition. That said, if their pitching continues to improve who knows....the sky is the limit. Damn strong baseball team.

He said that because he learned how to pitch and overall, statistics didn’t tell the whole story about the pitcher he became. That was said during the CWS last year.
His junior year early was pretty bad. Very inconsistent.

Gilbert will have great outings, and some not great (similar to Poche)

Poche was 12-3 last year and is the all time LSU wins leader. Gilbert is having trouble past the 4th inning of games when he makes it there.

Hess is looking more dominant than Poche. Also has the ability to climb to Lange level as a friday guy.

Hess is a great pitcher but is nowhere near Lange level as a starter. He still has room to make up to get to Poche level.

The rest of the staff has looked great. Deeper than last season.

Yes we are deep in the pen but we need starters to make it in Omaha. That and we haven’t even met the bats that we will come SEC play. I like the improvement I have seen but they aren’t near the team they were last year.
