But do you support a woman who gives all that up to be “supported” while she stays at home and raise their children? Because that’s the choice “feminism” has demonized.

I’ve been able to convince my wife that the 19th Amendment is among the worst things ever to happen to this country.
We watched that horrible suffragette movie and she said “this is just like the nasty feminists of today”
Yep.
I just told her today was women’s day and she said “secretary’s day?” She was worried fhat she had missed it with her bitch secretary at the office

The term feminism has morphed over the years and there’s the various waves etc. A lot of people just lump it all together and say feminism=bad which is simplistic to the point of being meaningless.
For practical purposes, classical feminism is dead.

Do other women agree?
My wife thinks the same thing. Thinks it's a joke, and that most of the "feminists" are... well... "stupid, ignorant women who have no grasp of reality and are just trying to get attention." That's a direct quote. I just asked her.

There are still a few fights to be had but they are long term battles that women are actually gaining ground in - education, positions of power, etc.
Please explain

I wouldn’t say that. I think that women’s opinions on it vary widely and there are plenty that hold a strong independent woman viewpoint. It might be that the mainstream viewpoint in the media has moved on, but I think there are plenty of women who hold any number of positions on it.

Absolutely. As long as it's her choice and she isn't totally dependent. Just don't "settle" for security.
I'm referring more to women who want a sugar daddy

If it still exists, it's buried and women who claim feminism have allowed the weak to carry their banner. The face of feminism is 4th wave.

I would say the women’s education battle is “won” but I’m still deliberating on the cause for low female participation rate in some fields. Ultimately, women have the choice and support available for any education they want enough to pursue so I give this box a tentative check mark.
Women now make up just under 1/2 of the labor force (47ish%) but only hold 29% of key manegement positions. Worse, women hold only 16% of CEO positions. There is room for improvement there as women continue to complete degrees. While lifestyle choices made by women will likely always keep women well below the 50% mark (time off, hours worked, etc), I believe 25% is a reasonable expectation for women in CEO positions.

My wife despises feminsm. Says it is ruining America and she swears they (feminists) are a minority, a very small percentage of American women.

There's some good information out there on this subject. Girls do very well in math science and in leadership until the teebpnage years. It's been boiled down to expectations and accountability
Generally boys stick with problematic things until the become proficient or at least Lear it while girls are allowed, even expected to shy away from challenges and gravitate toward what they do best.
Adolescent boys and girls are treated much differently and it hasn't been favorable for girls. New wave feminism reinforces this ideal by allowing women to retreat to victim status instead of confronting hardships.
In general girls are protected more than boys who are taught to compete and deal with failure, injury etc. This protection is bad for them

Yes, I’m aware of the studies you’re alluding to here which is why I said I was still deliberating on giving a “win” in the education column. However, those studies were done when my generation were in jr high and high school. There has been a real swing in the generations following “x”.
I agree with your point in teaching females to wrap themselves in the “victim” label and it is a real concern for me. However, there is a real flood of educsted females in the workforce that I believe is negating that hinderance. Frankly, males also are entering the workforce with victim expectations. There are a few generations that aren’t prepared for real world business for multiple reasons, not all their fault.

I certainly believe men are becoming more soft as well but in some ways that's partially related to new wave feminist philosophy.

The irony of feminism these days is, if masculism were a movement, today's feminists would be against it. I don't have the energy right now to explain why that would be ironic. Figure it out.

I believe this is playing out.
Socially you can try to change natural things within people but it will just lead to higher levels of anxiety, depression and confusion. There's nothing wrong with engaging the primitive spark were all born with.

Absolutely.
I will say I'm pretty disgusted with men in general and how women are devalued, viewed as simply sex objects. Women who do duck lips in bikinis on instagram are valued more than strong women who actually accomplish things.
Society send horrible signals to young girls on how to achieve in this world.
