Need a price range for a better answer. That would better narrow down the options.

Don't think I will buying any of them. I just wanted to know the perception of the cars.

Just got an 18 Audi S5 sportback a couple weeks ago, really nice car with all the new audi tech. Not aggressive enough for me but the wife likes it.

Wife has new bright silver xc60 with blonde interior, T5 Inscription without all of the trick pilot features (still has lane departure avoidance, head on collision avoidance, street sign camera...), air ride suspension, or the upgraded stereo. It's the base Inscription with some bolt on options.

We bought a few months before they were released and didn't get to try any of the goodies out before making our decision. Wife finds it quirky, but she loves it.

Poors...with a $3200 stereo (upgrade)...in a car.

Ignorance in this thread. Obvious non car guys commenting.

If you want a reliable sedan, buy a Lexus. If you want the best driving sedan, buy a BMW (it's the benchmark by which all others are judged).

Lexus makes the highest quality product on the planet…. end of discussion. BMW used to be one of the best Driving vehicles until they changed their steering mechanism. You can no longer really feel the road as the steering is too loose and effortless. Most driving enthusiast like to be able to feel the road and not some super hyped up power steering mechanism ....takes all the fun out of it. I’m not exactly sure when they made this change but I have owned three 5 series starting with the 1983 528e and I can tell you it’s not as good as it used to be. Luxury is about the same with all of the models with exception of the Acura. It doesn’t really measure up in my opinion. If given the choice between any make or model between the five, give me the Audi R8 any day the week. That’s one badass ride!

I agree to an extent. BMW steering is not as heavy as it used to be but heavier is not always better although I do prefer it.

The values of and ratings for these luxury models vary over time. Audi’s used to be performance alternatives to BMW, but were very unreliable. Acura’s were the most reliable cars on the road. Now Consumer Reports recommends every Audi and almost no Acuras. Mercedes remains one of the most overrated products of this century. Over engineered and you should get your own mechanic from Germany when you buy one. Lexus seems to be the one constant overtime. Most reliable, best design, value, and 100% made in Japan. Quality. (And, no, I don’t own one.)

A Lexus is a trimmed out Toyota. Therefore, based on your logic, you'd spend as much on a Lexus as you would Toyota - which IMO is correct, Lexus is overrated. Acura = Honda, Infiniti = Nissan. Wouldn't buy any of them.

Coolest will be Mercedes or BMW.

Best will be Acura, Lexus or Infiniti.

I am partial to Infiniti. I have a 2014 Q50 that is a fricking blast to drive (3.7L) and is a great car.

We went to the dealership to look at the new model xc60 & the salesman talked us into driving the s90. The wife was sceptical at first bc she likes cross-over vehicles. She really liked the car & it’s simplicity with the dash & everything being controlled within the screen. No buttons everywhere to push.
That blonde leather is nice but damn, my wife wore some of the really deep dyed indigo jeans one night that were brand new & they left some of the dye on the seat. I was pissed, ended up buying some of the Volvo leather cleaner & it come right off. This happened the first week we had the car.

I saw a new alfa romeo giulia quadrifoglio the other day. I have no idea about performance, but IRL, it was a sweet looking ride
