Schouest bought the subdivision and the golf course for the value of the subdivision only. Basically he got LaTour for nothing.

So, the pro shop and the course are of equal value.
Good to know.

If you could spell his name right I’d believe some of the stuff coming out your mouth, but Chouest isn’t even the majority owner, it’s split 3 ways at the moment. The course would’ve been sold for what they paid for it already if they hadn’t tried to add their losses to the asking price since they didn’t know how to run a golf course.

You can believe whatever you want.
I am not certain of the total amount the Brady's received for the sale of their companies, likely it was much more than 80 million. John Brady sold his share of the business to his brother in 2001. Regardless, the cost of building LaTour is listed in public documents from a lawsuit:

On or about October 25, 2006, plaintiff LaCote, LLC and defendant Global Golf Construction, Inc. entered into an agreement for the construction of the LaTour Golf Course which was to be constructed in Matthews, Louisiana. (Pet. ¶ IV). Work on the project began in November 2006, and LaCote made regular payments in accordance with the terms of the contract, said payments totaling $9,540,649.5

And they didn't pay $30 million for land. Now if they add their losses to the price and got to $40M then that would make some sense because the golf business in Louisiana sucks!
ETA: La Tour is officially the Bill Brasky of the Golf Board.

Did the 9.5 million include the clubhouse? That’s usually another couple million

Is their tip and tuck tourney really on Sunday of the Masters?

That clubhouse was at least 2 million.

It’s so primo at the moment, greens need another 2 weeks to get them glassy.

They’ll be bankrupt by then.

their new plan is to get 20,000 rounds per year. that won't happen. and the price for membership is 330.00 per month.
Posted on 3/25/18 at 6:11 am to ranger350
Yeah. They won’t get 55 rounds/day.
