It was a joke. Oakbourne is one of my favorite courses. Everything is good over there from conditions to staff. The same cannot he said for LT in my opinion.

I'd prefer LT to OCC if it were up to me. Too many gimmick holes at OCC for my liking, I don't want to be blocked from the green by a tree when I'm in the middle of the fairway on 4-5 holes. I play both at least a couple times a month and usually enjoy my round at LT more than OCC

It might not be a regular play for someone in NO, but it’s worth it to try. BO is almost $100 on the weekend and an hour drive for us

I am going to play it when it opens. I'm down that way a lot for work and have been wanting to see what all the fuss is about. BO and TPC get very expensive at certain times during the weekend but you can also play out at both of those for about $50 on the weekdays at certain times. I can't imagine LaTour not having cheaper rates on the weekdays. I think about what that land is worth compared to the land that BO and TPC is built on and its no comparison.

Total property with subdivision development?

If it did cost that much for just golf course they really screwed up. They could have built Sawgrass in Louisiana for less.

Well they are maybe the biggest dummies in the world of golf. No wonder it went out of business. $40 million and now the new plan is to make a million a year in revenue. Wow.

Shadow creek only cost $7 million more to build. It was 15 years earlier though.

$40 million you better deliver a top 100 course in the world.

You don’t seem to know much history of the course who said the new plan was to make a million a year?

Don’t need to. They either lying, idiots, or laundering money.

The membership plan was a few pages back. Unless that’s not correct.

I can’t wait to play it now. Should be worth the $100.

I don’t understand how a man worth over 100’s of millions couldn’t spend 40+ of it on a dream, then never see it open, but ok

It’s correct, the only changes is the family pass is for you and everyone in your household under 21, that’s all. Everything is a go, open April 5.

Oh I can believe. I’ve seen dumb things done in golf construction. It was my career for a while.

I just can’t see that being a 40 mil course. That kind of money should be world class. Not just really good for Louisiana. There was some waste and other issues I assume.

New American Club Course

$25M budget on a Dye project as part of Whistling Straits. $40M in south louisiana and it better literally be Augusta!

It’s worth $40mil. When you realize how much earth they moved in there to get a course that drains that well, has that nice of greens, and should actually be a cane farm, it makes sense. It’s a world class course.

Global Golf Construction built the course and was paid about 9.5 million.

John Brady sold his company for about 80 million. That's where that number comes from. No way was 40, 60 or 80 million spent on LaTour.

Ok. So, that plus the property is worth what?

The pro shop alone is $40k.
