So you don't want to answer. You realize that just because nobody is standing in front of a school screaming threats, doesn't mean the school or anyone else isn't at risk, right?

BTW, I don't live in constant fear. I don't live in constant fear of a house fire either, but I have fire extinguishers where they are needed. I carry a pistol everywhere I go, except for gun free zones like schools of course, so I don't have to live in fear. I give myself the responsibility of defending myself, and my loved ones, and if you happen to be in the same convenience store, or restaurant where I am, you can rest assured that if our lives are being threatened, I will defend yours too. I can't imagine any rational person would deny that protection to kids in a school.

The government is incapable of protecting you. Parkland is just the most recent example.
I'm all for letting communities decide if they want to allow some armed teachers with additional training.
I'm also for pussy cops tossing their guns to coaches that would like to do more than shield teenagers with their own bodies.

but a taxpayer-funded teacher at a public school is capable of protecting you
I read on these boards all the time how teachers are just propaganda arms of the government. And they are paid with taxpayer funds.
Yet, somehow the government-funded police officer with the weapon is not capable of protecting you but the government-funded teacher is.
Or do you mean that students should be able to arm themselves because the government is incapable of protecting you?

um, lots of people have talked about it
and the things that actually have demonstrable impact on school safety don't get the attention or don't get the funding
as someone who has been part of the conversation for a couple of decades now, I can assure you the discussions have been had. People have thought of it. There has been implementation.
But there's also lots of bureaucracy and lots of cost and lots of catching up to do.
To assume that just because YOU haven't seen anything means nothing has been proposed or thought of or done is incorrect. The fact that you think putting up a sign is the extent of the ideation or implementation just shows how little you know about this
