Interesting new “development” on Scot Peterson (resource officer)

“He said he was the first Broward deputy to dispatch on police radio shots were being fired, and he told a first-arriving Coral Springs officer he “thought that the shots were coming from outside.” That arriving officer then took up a tactical position behind a tree with his rifle.
“Radio transmissions indicated that there were a gunshot victim in the area of the football field, which served to confirm Mr. Peterson’s belief that the shooter, or shooters, were outside,” according to the statement.”
Will be interesting once all the facts came out. People love throwing others under the bus and most, especially on here don’t care about facts. That Sheriiff has been a disgrace. I hope the video and radio feed of what that school resource officer did comes out. If I had to guess the Sheriff pretty much talked him into resigning. He may have been a bitch, but I can see during chaos he may have not understood where the shooter or in his mind possible multiple shooters were. Someone stated some witnesses have stated people were telling him shooters were outside also.

It still doesn't change the fact that he did nothing. Even if he thought the shooter was outside he still hid behind a tree. That many gunshots tells you that the shooter has targets... so you need to go toward the sound of gunfire and fricking stop it. That's your job.

The problem is that if we are going to push these 'gun free safe zones', any and all responding officers then need to bust their arse until they are engaged with the suspect. You simply can't loligag when you have someone with a weapon in a gun free zone, he killed 17 people in what 4 minutes? How many more were shot?
You are talking 5-10 people a minute getting shot, the police have to bust it to get their or they simply aren't doing enough. Or we need to move away from gun free zones.

Supposedly, according to radio reports that haven't been released, and some students and teachers statements that haven't been released. People were saying there was a gunshot victim outside, and many were saying shooter or shooters are outside also.

And I was downvoted into oblivion for saying that I think we should wait until all the facts are out before we convict this guy in the court of public opinion and ruin his life.
