Who wants to meet me there for lunch tomorrow? I’ll be DTR for most of the morning, so might as well eat there while I’m down..

Yes Venice and Buras had one.

That must have been way before my time. Don’t remember a theater in Venice or Buras and I was born in 79. Only one I remember was in port sulphur but I’m don’t remember it ever operating. Either that or we didn’t go there.

This guy gets it! I’m 2 blocks from St. Joseph. Love it. Name somewhere on the Westbank nicer than Gretna as far as restaurants, crime rate, property values, commute to the city. The only thing BC has that’s better are the schools.

For the op....live on base BUT what about your wife? Then things get complex....

Personally love the area around st Joseph in Gretna

Several of you probably know relatives of mine in the Belle Chasse area....

I haven’t been to the new Velvet. Rather keep the last memories of it of getting even more plastered after weddings in the Auditorium.

Port Sulphur one was definitely up and running for a little bit for you. I don’t have any memory of Buras or Venice one either.

Just across the river is a great place called St Bernard Parish. You should check it out

I like to joke as much as the next guy but this aint funny. Stay out and far away from St. Bernard, especially Chalmette and Violet. Good shot at becoming part of that crime stat you are so desperately trying to avoid.

Chalmette has little violent crime. Good bit of theft and drug use. Violet is the bad area.
