To consider JJ the worst, you have to consider Bobby Knight's famous quote during the final four when playing LSU.

While you are bashing LSU and a former coach, you probably aren't smart enough to realize what you've really done here.

It would be one thing if it was JUST LSU. But when you look at all the schools "implicated", LSU is just background noise

Yea reading more about this. It's not something LSU directly had a hand in as much as it was these two Agents getting players some spending money for playing in college a couple years with the expectation to sign them when they entered the NBA.
I'm sure the college coaches/ADs had some knowledge of it but doesn't seem like something where they were calling the shots.

We never learned our lesson with Lester Earl. Now JJ is gonna f it up again for us
But he was a changed man like Orgeron, right ???

I don't know why anyone would be shocked with Jones getting caught again. His involvement with the previously slammed staff was reason #1A he never should have been hired, 1B being his head coaching resume.

JMO
Nothing major will happen because of the coaches and teams involved. Coach K, Roy Williams, Coach Cal, Tom Izzo and Bill Self. Louisville, Seton Hall, Marquette, Wichita State and Texas.

This smells like the NCAA and FBI are going after the agents.

I agree. Most people apper to be looking at this as colleges buying players for recruitment. This appears to be agents bribing players and families for their representation rights. Hence this is why this is a FBI case rather than a NCAA investigation. The problem is that the players and families actions can ipact players eligibility status and schools could be in trouble if they are proved to be knowledgable of it

Martin was already in the NBA when he got the loan.

How is LSU involved in this at all? This was money exchanged between an agent and player.

And..Jarell Martin is the highest paid player on the balance sheet.

Jarell Martin signed with ASM after declaring. That payment was supposedly after signing with them. Agencies loaning clients money before the draft is not uncommon at all.

That's probably why they don't really mention Martin in the investigation other than his name showing up on that document.

Don't think he was bashing LSU as much as the former coach.

It basically boils down to player eligibility. If they took money before leaving the program, they were ineligible. You'll probably see a lot of forfeited wins, just not at LSU

I can already see where this is headed:
LSU will have to forfeit and relinquish all championships earned during Jones' tenure...
