In California, a majority of voters voted against gay marriage.

How did that end?

We do not abolish Constitutional Rights just because some made up poll says so.

Meh, maybe in the Deep South, Oklahoma, etc. Doesn't matter.

Who is "anyone"? People with attitudes like this aren't even worth laughing at any more.

Just demonstrates that people are susceptible to media pressure. Congrats, you have the support of brainless sheep.

What the OP is saying is that public opinion could be shifting which will embolden those states municipalities who want restrictions to put more in place. I think he is right.

So the question will be how far they can push it. In the Heller case, while confirming the rights afforded under the, they left open that further restrictions could happen. That is very much what I took away

I am not saying further restrictions should happen or would any restrictions be considered be constitutional. I do think the OP is correct in saying that public opinion is likely shifting and that is going to put pressure on lawmakers to take action irrespective of what you or I may think.

A poll to justify the validity of a poll.

the level of homophobia and the threats of violence Toddy has to put up with every single post he makes is appalling. if you people had any decency you'd be embarrassed, but you dont so naturally youre not.

does this kind of thing make you proud? is it cool? youre almost certainly christian, so is this what "jesus" would do? is this what "he" talked about?

All one has to do is study public opinion about this for the past decade and how it has changed. I'm very well versed in this after the gay marriage fight. It's extraordinary how quickly public opinion can liberalize around contemporary issues.

The backlash we've witnessed this week is fascinating. Would have been unheard of just a few short years ago.

polling people directly after an emotional national tragedy is a good way to skew the numbers to fit your agenda.

Yesterday you posted something similar with a sample size of 808 people. What was the sample size of this poll?

And that tilt will rule in favor of individual rights on guns 5-4. Look at their history. Sorry Toddy.

Are you so naïve to believe that the SCOTUS doesn't monitor public opinion and changing attitudes when ruling?

Ok. If you want to show me some data that proves the sampling was wrong then I'd like to see it.
