I had a JP cop hit me in an unmarked car on the interstate outside of his parish, in St Charles Parish, he was speeding and ran into me. He pulled me over after he hit me. Took my license and told me to go sit in my truck.

After about 5 minutes I felt something was wrong so I called 911. After sitting in my truck and called 911 3 more times, LSP finally arrived and took our statements. Of course the piece of shite Jefferson Parish deputy lied what happened and I got a ticket for improper lane. LSP believed him over my statement.

No damage was done to my truck and his little crown Vic had a small dent. No one was injured.

3 weeks later my insurance company called me to get my statement saying that the POS cop is claiming he was injured.

Long story short, that a-hole ended up filing a claim and my insurance paid him $2500 because he said he hurt his knee.

I did a little research on this a-hole and he was accused of police brutality and shooting an unarmed man a few years ago. A real POS

She’s talking about UMPD to cover damage to your vehicle from uninsured driver if you don’t have collision coverage. If you have collision coverage, that covers damage to your vehicle caused by uninsured drivers too.

Boosie is talking about regular UM, which covers injury caused by uninsured or drivers without high enough limits

My wife is an insurance agent and always told me that you didn't need UM unless you don't have full coverage.

Dumb. Heck, she even gets 15% of that.

OP, countersue, bro. If you were in Elleck I'd hook you up.

Full UM covers medical bills and deductibles, lost wages, and pain and suffering.

Most folks don’t realize how screwed they are if they miss time from work.

That’s why I think some frickery is afoot. I have clients tell me all the time that their agents steer them away. “You don’t need it if you have health insurance.”

Don't take this the wrong way but your wife doesn't know wtf she's talking about.

Time to ban cars. I mean there are strict rules about who can drive and the requirements to be granted this privilege and our fearless government sits idle by while countless lives are ruin by these killings machines.

And this is why I carry the following...because too many of my friends are PI lawyers and too many people in Louisiana are assholes with no insurance.

Yeah I guess not. The damn state minimums won't even cover a lot of vehicles on the road.

I just asked her and she said that you'll get your vehicle repaired but you are on the hook for medical bills etc. Makes sense I guess. It's insurance. They'll always look for a reason not to pay.
