But this board says that no one wants to visit New Orleans anymore. I'm glad this city is not ran by plant operators from Livingston Parish.

But don't you also find it a bit sad Canal crime in that area can't be taken seriously until a corporation's cry for tourism safety happens?

The wife and I have been season ticket holders for Broadway Across America for a few years now and visit this area often at night without any issues. With a hotel like Hard Rock coming in, that area will even be safer with more street lights and security. Hopefully this hotel will attract nicer retail stores along Canal rather than Beauty Shops and foot massage parlors.

Is there any indication that is going to happen? shite Katrina, corrupted politicians and crime has done it, what makes you think something else will?

No. It does get hit particularly hard during economic downturns though.

People who want to visit New Orleans, then go home and relax>>>>>>>>>>>>>>people who want to move to NOLA and clean hotel rooms.

Where else can you get drunk, piss on the street, kill somebody before you pass out and still probably not get in serious trouble?

They better budget for a shite load of security if they're going to build on the borderline of the projects
Um, Iberville has been gone for a while. HRI is redeveloping almost the entire site.

Is the WTC still targeted for a Four Seasons? That’s more my speed.
Yes, but their main funding source was under “house arrest” at the Ritz in Saudi Arabia until recently. Not sure if the cash is flowing yet. I remain skeptical of that development more than any other.

They are still the projects they just look nicer and are repackaged as "mixed income" when in reality...they are the projects.

Several. Clark County, NV and Lee County, FL competed for the highest foreclosure rate in the country for two or threes years.
