I have a want for a 7x57 and a 6.5x55, and maybe even a 9.3x62. But the last thing I need is another rifle, and the calibers are redundant with what I already have.

I'll take a double rifle in 9.3x74r please.

ETA: I do have a 6.5 Swede. Downshift will fight me but I like the caliber, but not the action.

Tikka T3 in 6.5x55 Swede is my main rifle.

You really need to handload to get the real potential of the Swede. Factory loadings, for the most part, are kept anemic because of the huge number of Swedish Mausers still out there in use. Those old rifles were not meant for modern high pressure loadings.

With good handloads in modern actions, the Swede can out-perform little brother Crudmore.

I have quite a few C&R firearms. 7.62x54R, 6.5 Swede, 7.5Swiss, 7.62x25 Tok. I handload for all but the Tok, which puts out quite the fireball.

I have one that dates back to 1899, the first year of manufacture at the Oberndorf plant under a two year contract with the Swedish government. It has the original stock, which is a lovely tiger-striped walnut.

Agree that the workmanship is exquisite.

Ive killed a pile of deer with a 6.5x55 M96 that was smithed up. Love the caliber.

9.3x62 is one Id like to have if there were good deer load options out there.
