An HOA isn’t needed to enforce littering laws. Regular legal system can do that. Just film him hitting into the Lake and tell him if he does it again you are taking legal action.

This world is full of pussies. It's golf balls in water.

That’s not true. Think of thousands of golf balls in a lake. Not the ideal scenario for a thriving ecosystem.

So you are a pussy if you don’t like trashing up a place?

I could see some of these “posters” performing similarly inane acts out in society. Hopefully the true citizens will emerge and offer assistance in this matter.

Btw, LOVE that part of Maine, especially in autumn.

Thousands?

Still going to say no effect on the ecosystem.

Heckle his arse while he swings. Make fun of his swing flaws. He won’t hit anymore when you are around. Win-win for both parties.

To be clear, I hate litter. I hate trash. I live in the sportsman’s paradise and it is full of litter. Everywhere I go in this great state to enjoy nature is trashy as shite.

Please present the data that shows golf balls damage ecosystems.

I did a little digging, and evidence is scarce. Many articles cite a lack of research in to golf ball decomposition. However, we've known for decades that plastic and heavy metals are harmful to ecosystems. It would seem logical that golf balls, being composed of plastics and metals, would cause some damage. How much? I don't know.

quote:

With an increasing number of golf balls discarded each year, the Danish Golf Association devised a number of tests to determine the environmental impact of golf balls on their surroundings.

It was found that during decomposition, the golf balls dissolved to release a high quantity of heavy metals. Dangerous levels of zinc were found in the synthetic rubber filling used in solid core golf balls. When submerged in water, the zinc attached itself to the ground sediment and poisoned the surrounding flora and fauna.

Yes, thousands. He’s literally hitting 8 irons into the lake for over an hour, if not a couple of hours. And he drinks a lot of wine and martinis doing this.

I hope someone uses Roundup to make a giant dick in the grass of your front yard.

Heck, why don’t we put all of our none floating trash in our waterways?

If Someone is so inconsiderate to hit golf balls into a shared resource no telling what else they are doing. People don’t respect shite anymore.

He's subtly hinting that you suck at golf. It's an open invitation to join him, granted, you must supply your own ProV1

That car you drive? Damages the ecosystem. That computer/phone your on? Damages the ecosystem. That garbage you put in the trashcan? It damages the ecosystem. The concrete your house is built on, damages the ecosystem.

An apology to Paul would be appropriate at this time.
