Yeah, that's crazy,as great as Eddie's guitar was..David Lee Roth was perfect for them back then. No other singer could have done those songs as well.
His voice on the adlibs and stuff, who else could have done that well?

I swear I'm not trolling. Roth's vocals are cringe worthy to my ears.

Obviously he had something. He's only sold about 500 million more records than I ever will.

To me,that's almost perfection. Sounds modern, while bringing back some cool vocal influences from Sinatra and Dean Martin,Sammy Davis Jr.etc...
And he knew exactly what he was doing, very under rated.

Ice Cream Man is one of my favorite songs on the album. The long guitar solo on it is amazing.

Running With The Devil (vox only)

This always cracks me with Roth's vocal track

Argued with friend about "Eruption", my friend said there was no way it was a guitar and it was actually done with a B3 Organ.

Van Halen, and I mean the real, authentic Van Halen with DLR as LV, rocks...HARD. Underrated attribute of DLR-era VH: FANTASTIC vocal harmonies between the participants, really elevated the song to another level

Most people are correct. VH with Roth was lightning in a bottle. Probably the best 4-5 album run from any band ever.......

Vh with Hagar was pop-slop made for FM radio. How many hits did Van Hagar have??? How many were poppy drivel about love???
Why can't this be love?
Love walks in
When it's love..
Don't tell me what love can do...
Right Now!!!

VH with Gary Cherone? Let's just forget about that abomination...
