Does it? The new rule is you only count as your guaranteed portion in a trade, but he'd be on a minimum so I wonder if that is a new loophole in the loophole they just closed?

The date on that link you posted is 2013, so I'm guessing nothing relevant to the Pelicans came of it.

On a minimum deal at this point? I assume they signed him because they either couldn't get any of the trades they wanted going, or they did get a trade they liked that also allowed this move.

As was was said, the legal stuff was back in 2013. While the original charges were terrible, the girlfriend who made the accusations refused to cooperate with police so all was dropped to misdemeanor battery, pretty much the same charge Darren Collison got 18 months ago and no one is after Collison's head. Reading any more into what did or did not happen is speculation.

Liggins will be available tonight vs Utah. Pretty sure we got his contract done quicker than we would otherwise so he can harass Mitchell tonight.
