It will force us to throw the ball so either:

1. Myles or Lowell or both light it up

2. Or we have a new coach in 2019 boys

To go along with a stable of RBs

I will never understand "fans" hoping our team fails. Why would you want O to fail? Shouldn't you be hoping he exceeds expectations and does a fantastic job?

It’s about having a long term view and being able to delay short term gratification in favor of bigger rewards down the road.

If you think this is the case you I'd guess there are a lot of other things in general you don't understand.

actually, one could view having Fournette was the beginning of the end for les miles. he designed his entire offense around him and showcasing him. that offense could do not much more than hand off to LF. it just didn't work on good defenses did it?

this is kind of the point of the OP as I see it. and I agree that we will be forced to up our passing attack and that may be a very good thing.

Or, it will force us to throw the ball and our QBs turn it over 20 times.

Riiight. I don't believe that is true for many, if not most, of the guys on here talking about crashing sooner. Most of them want to have their opinion vindicated.

As a non O guy, I hope O proves me wrong and goes on a winning streak that makes people forget Saban. All I really want is for LSU football to be in the conversation year in/ year out to win the west, the SEC and a natty, to earn a playoff spot as often as not and to win each of those at least occasionally.

Because it's a fact, not an opinion, that Orgeron will never contend for titles.

He begged for the job on the stipulation that he'd hire the best coordinators and let them coach. In ONE year he's proven to be a liar on both of those promises.

He's doing the same things he did at ole miss... he just happens to have talent at LSU

At least he isn't starting numerous threads asking which sec coach is the cutest, which ones would make the best couples, or which ones would you date, like he was a short time ago.
