Trump made decision to release memo before reading it

Shouldn’t the Commander in Chief actually read a document the FBI says could do damage to our national security before deciding to release it? What would happen to a CEO if he did the same thing? He’d be fired immediately.
Disgraceful! How could anyone defend this?
P.S. He apparently based his decision on Fox News segments he had seen. Unbelievable!

I agree he should have read it, but what harm is there in releasing a memo that might shed light on abuses/corruption in the FBI/DOJ?
The only harm I see is to those who are corrupt, and they seem to be the loudest voices opposing it.
