I'm in a self defense situation and I'm armed with only a 22 pistol, or sometimes it's a 380, and as I'm being attacked I'm firing at nearly point blank into my assailant's head and chest but he's still not stopping. The dream usually ends before I find out what the outcome is.

Just one of those weird things but I swear I have this same dream at least once a week.

Lol no. Kind of a fricked up dream

I have consistently 1 of 2 dreams:

1) in college at Tulane. Partying with my fraternity buddies or something to do with being late or behind in class.
2) traveling and being stressed out with being late, etc

I had a very similar dream less than a week ago. I saw a guy messing around by my backdoor so I grabbed my 1911 45, moved the curtain on the door over, he put his face to the door window to look inside and I shot him point blank in the face through the window and it did absolutely nothing to him. I'm actually surprised I got the shot off though because in my typical self defense dream, I can't pull the trigger. I pull the gun but it's like the trigger weighs a ton and I can't pull it. I even switch to my middle finger to put more pressure but nothing. I hate those dreams

This is the OB version of The Rant dream. I don't believe either actually happen.

My two recurring dreams are, it's finals week and I can't remember if I dropped a class I haven't been to since week one, and the inappropriately dressed for the situation one.

Mine is fist fighting. I have never been in a fist fight in my life, but I've had plenty of dreams where I'm punching someone and my arms are moving at turtle speed and doing no damage.

That's very weird because I have the very same thing

I only carry 9 so I assume that's what it is I'm shooting in me dream but my shots have no affect at all.

I also have the trigger pulling issue. This is fascinating that it's as common as it is

Very weird

One of mine is similar, but the bad guy is a turkey, and my pellets just roll out the end of the gun onto the ground. Over and over. I wake up sweating and sometimes crying.

The other is same as Alx. End of semester and a class I never went to and about to fail.

I have the self defense dream, but it's part of the broader "architectural" dreams as I call them. My weapon is either not where I think it is or the bad guy is somehow between me and the weapon - sometimes there is shooting, but usually it's just the mental problem solving of me getting to the gun, or calling the cops or getting the family out or whatever - it isn't very common.

The broader "architectural" dreams can be military, educational or both - occasionally it's commercial hotel/mall or combo - it's either a single large building or a large campus - the problem is - the thing changes and it usually becomes like a pathfinding problem - I keep having to stop and get my bearings and figure out how to get where I'm going from where I'm at. I usually figure out it's a dream because the dimensions and layout of the place change and become increasingly complex. Sometimes, its a military barracks or training school and we're trying to get the mission or training event going, but there is a lot of time lost going from place to place under these conditions.

The educational version, I know I haven't been to class in weeks and I'm not sure where the room is, what the assignments are or if I even have the books. I generally figure that one out when I say to myself, "Dude. You haven't been in school in 15 or 20 years."
