We can all agree there is a blue wave coming this year. Does this put a dent in it at all?

I think you are going to be sorely disappointed.

Yeh, because dems are succeeding so much lately...

Blue waive of toilet cleaner water going down the drain maybe.

There's still a lot of politics to take place between now and the summer when campaigning will get hot and heavy. If the Dems keep overexposing their hypocrisy, the wave could well be a ripple.

Based on what? The fact that y’all had a couple of wins in blue states and a win against a terrible candidate in AL?

If by a dent you mean the wave got crushed like a beer can then I agree

I am not sure there will be any Democrats left for a wave after memo is released

Based on history and political science.

The president's party always loses seats. (well it didn't happen twice 1934 and 2002 and those were weird circumstances)

It gets worse if there is unified government. check
It gets worse if the president has lower approval. check

The question isn't "will there be a blue wave?" it's "will it be big enough to take the house?"

This isn't some fake news, skewed democratic narrative. They will get seats, probably a lot.

Hopefully, tax reform and a growing economy help dissipate that wave enough to keep control of the house.

Since when? What data are you basing this off of?

I majored in poli sci. I get what you’re saying but here’s the thing:
A wave isn’t a given. I see no reason why we should assume it will because of history. Nothing has been “normal”.

There will be some wins but the house isn’t one of them. I don’t believe this will be another 2010.

I never said it would be a 2010. But the Reps will clearly lose seats in the House, almost certainly double digit numbers. The Dems need 25 seats. I can see them picking up 15, but I can see them getting 30 too.

Now the Senate is a different story. The Reps could actually gain seats there.

Still a lot of ball to play.

The Dems need a leader who can kick arse. Schumer was known as Mr Photo op.
