In the past year I have used:
United
American Airlines
Aeroméxico
Delta
Interjet
Hawaiian Airlines
Virgin
I have the most (miles) invested with American because I fly out of DFW a lot.

Delta because of where I live and because they are slightly better than American and United.

I don't fly very often (10-15 times per year), but I generally fly Delta because I find a larger majority of their planes to be newer with upgraded features. I'd say I'd fly Southwest second most due to the bags fly free option.
I used to fly a lot (every week!) wit a consulting company and we kept track of airline fleet age. Delta consistently had the newest fleet and was always well managed.
That may have changed recently but I haven't heard of it.

Virgin America stateside because they don't treat me like criminal.

Whichever airline flies direct to my destination of choice. I avoid connecting flights at all cost. Then I’ll choose between who is flying closer to the time I want to depart and arrive.

United bc they own Newark
Similarly American when I was in Dallas

United because I live next to IAH, that’s pretty much the only reason.

American and American Eagle, only ones going into Waco.

Used to be AA, but I have companion pass for SW now, so I'll be doing a lot of SW. I really hate their boarding process

I fly once a year, if that, so I think you fly all the time.
But in my limited flying experience, my favorite line has been JetBlue. When they do go where I want, they are always a direct flight, have the televisions on every seat-back, competitive pricing, etc. However, they don't fly to very many places out of MSY so it is kind of limited.
For a cheap flight on a dependable airline I go with Southwest. Again, limited to where they fly but I like that they don't charge for checked bags (1 per person) and their prices are usually VERY competitive if not the lowest of all.
Overall, I find it depends what part of the country/world you are flying to so it is hard to compare.

WHat a pretentious a whole. “I don’t fly often (10-15 times a year) “
Most people don’t fly that much in a lifetime. Stop being such a subtle narcissist jerk

Southwest, no question because rheir attitude is so much better than all the rest and I can`t afford first class anyway

I go cheapest rate with best trip times and duration. (Sometimes its more expensively to get better flight times. But whatever.)
However, I like AA for international flights. Dislike United. And am indifferent to delta.
With mileage perks for all 3, it's really irrelevant outside of the time commitment each asks of me.

20-30 times a year---Southwest exclusively if they go there. By far the best airline. I like choosing who I sit by more than getting an assigned seat too.

Southwest. It's cheaper, I can get priority boarding, hella easy and convenient.

Spirit = trash
Southwest has a nice checked bag deal, but there’s only one class, the boarding situation is weird, and it’s like they’re herding cattle.
United seems generic, just gets you there.
American is decent all around.
IMO, Delta is far ahead of the others - nice aircrafts, nice classes, great service etc. I hate flying anything else except them, just personal preference.
