Simmons was playing for himself too. He half added it. He didn't want to be at LSU and said so.

Simmons and Maravich, no comparison.

With a game on the line, and there are just seconds left on the clock; don't tell me Simmons is your go to guy. He can't shoot a jump shot, he has to drive the lane and that can be defended, but even if it isn't you can foul him becsuse he isn't a good FT shooter.

Maravich would be so much better.

even referred to being at LSU as "a waste of his time "

I mean, it was. The dude was a victim of the NBA draft system. He could have spent a year developing in the NBA, but instead spent it going to (skipping) classes for a degree that is meaningless to him.

You could replace LSU wth essentially any college name and that same would be true, yet people are get hurt feels about this.

Feelings hurt no? Will he be remembered fondly as a great Tiger?

Hell no. He put up some numbers...that's it.

Ben was honest in the documentary. LSU with JJ as coach, was a waste of his time. So what? I hope Ben is a great success and donates millions to LSU. Some LSU fans seem to look for a reason to put down players, whether out of jealousy or anger.

Trying to put that POS in the same universe with Pete Maravich only shows your complete and hopeless stupidity.

seriously? You think Ben Simmons will donate a penny to LSU, much less millions?

He has ZERO connection to LSU, other than he killed a few months here because his godfather was on the coaching staff. No other reason.

Do you realize how petty and childish that makes you look?

I mean you may as well drop a completely prejudiced remark about the blacks playing on LSU's basketball team, because it's the same fricking thing.

Ben Simmons is one of the greatest basketball players to hit the court at the PMAC.

With that said. He just seemed like he didn't give a shite about LSU. You see the guys on the football field, they love this school. Leonard Fournette is still wearing his freaking LSU shoulder pads. Laron Landry's home gym is painted completely purple and gold. Shaq comes back every year for some games. I don't fault Ben Simmons because he was only here a year. It's the nature of the beast. I fault him for treating LSU like a speed bump on his way to greatness.

He did this not giving a shite! Thats the beef! IF he played they way he currently is in the NBA. LSU would have been in the Sweet 16 if not better. IMO

I think he was immature hete and it was his attitude more so that ticked off the bleed purple and gold crowd. if he had just acted like he gave a shite he would have endeared tiger fans

Ever see him talk positively about LSU? Yes, his PR guy has set him straight but prior?

Maybe not by you, but do you get to make that decision for the rest of us?

Hell no. You're part of a vocal minority . . . that's it.
