TheDream.Us nonprofit said the donation from Jeff Bezos and his wife MacKenzie is the largest in the organization's history and will fund 1,000 scholarships. Bezos wealth recently hit record wealth levels. President Donald Trump ended DACA protections in September, but has faced court challenges in the months since.

Lol. There you go Jeff, show us where Trump touched you. If this isn't a direct shot at Trump, I don't know what is.

Why not set up schollies for US Citizens who have no financial means? Why leave them behind?

Good.

Ignoring the obvious virtue signaling by Bezos, no matter how you feel about the "Dreamers", you should know that no matter what Trump says, they are not going to be deported. They will compromise. Dreamers will stay in some capacity.

And since they are going to stay, I would rather them be educated and functioning members of society, rather than another financial burden.

I don't give a damn what he does with his own money. As long as I'm able to decide which charity case I can support with mine

Bezos is a CIA contractor whose newspaper is a mouthpiece for the most authoritarian and nefarious elements of the intelligence community. This doesn't make him a decent human being.

I agree. The problem is the precedent this sets. Just get in and hang out for a while, and eventually you'll be cleared to enjoy life as an American, welfare benefits and all.

Never mind the people who spend decades waiting, filling out paperwork and taking tests to immigrate legally. And who love this country and view it as a privilege when they finally get the opportunity to gain their citizenship. Those are dreamers. Not the people walking around with Mexican flags who hate America.

Isn't that Trump's job now, not Bezos'?

It would be nice if people cared this much about the poor citizens of the USA. There are a lot of poor black and white kids that could use the help.

No need to waste it on Asians, they are smart and get academic scholarships.

They're going to college. Why would they collect welfare? Also they'll more than likely be payers into WELFARE like social security and Medicare.
