We paid 500 cash for the ambulance and the medicine. They never mentioned the bill

They let you leave without paying?
We had to take my buddies son to the hospital in Cozumel Mexico. We had to make a small payment up front before they would do anything. All told the final bill for a three day stay was amazingly less then you would pay in the states. I know Mexico health care gets crapped on (for good reason) but that little hospital in Cozumel provided very good care.

Who gets an ambulance with food poisoning? When we get patients like you in the ER that come by ambulance we have ems escort you to the front and make you wait for fast track. It's like urgent care. Sad
