This. I changed careers in my mid 30s and I couldn’t be happier. I went from working in the medical field to engineering and it’s a much better fit for me.

Law is a miserable profession. I am grateful for my job and probably have it better than 80% of attorneys, but don't really enjoy it and think it's soul-crushing most days. Then, I interview kids up to their arse in loans who are willing to take like 50k just to get some experience and I just STFU and carry on and drink to deal with the grind.

I always feel like half the reason individuals go into law is to let the person to their left and right know they're a lawyer. maybe you're just too down to earth to not relish in being pretentious baw?

Drag up the lawyer gig and work a turnaround for a few weeks with turner industries. Then go back to law and appreciate your job. I’m appreciate the fact that my dad basically made me work a shite job at the plants every summer, while I was in college. It made me appreciate what I do now.
